Spare airbox for BFI
I plan to try my luck fabricating a BFI. To make sure I have a backup plan in case I screw it up, I wanted to get a spare airbox and was quoted over $300. That can't be right? I'm only looking for the part that gets cut open in the BFI process. Anyone have a part number for that? I guess I didn't correctly explain to the dealer what I want, so it would be great if I could just give them the right number.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yep, most everything for our cars is expensive. I would try posting a Want To Buy listing in the Classifieds section here on CL and see if anyone wants to get rid of an old one. I'm sure you'll get one for a HELL of a lot less than $300.00

Oh well, I don't usually complain about Lexus pricing. I already got loads of Lexus OEM parts, including a full 97+ bodystyle conversion. Always got great deals from Steve @ Carson. But 330 for this plastic box ... On top of everything, I always have to pay for shipping, customs, taxes etc. for importing that stuff in Switzerland. Shipping for the 97+ body parts alone was $1500
On the other hand, I guess that's the price you gotta pay if you want to drive a car that is more "exotic" than any Ferrari, Aston Martin or Maybach (in my country, that is).
