What are my options for a 98 SC300 AT without internal mod?
Sorry I'm new here...just got my baby at 61,000 miles and I don't want to do any internals to it yet. I don't know much about FI for the lexus but I want it reliable. Thanks

He's got a 300...either way, BFI, exhaust, air filter...to start off for the engine mods.
Then you can do exterior body work if you'd like. Nice 18's, coilover suspension setup, body kit, HID retrofit, theres so many mods, just pick a topic and plug it into our search feature.
The reason you haven't gotten a reply yet is because the topic has been covered SO many times. Members are often turned off by having to answer the same questions over and over, so they don't bother replying becuase the answers are already there, you just gotta search.

Sorry, I'll be more specific...I'm interested in a slap on turbo. How much hp can I expect with just a slap on. I don't want to replace my exhaust and make it sound ricey...that's whats honda civics are for...which I have btw. I intend to start making my BFI soon this week. So far, i've only got it for 2 weeks, and I've done HID 8000k low beams and green neon license plate....love it gay or not.

you can find nice exhausts for the 300 that will give you a deep rumble, not the ricey sound at all. Check out got_trd's exhaust, it sounds SOOO nice.

As for bolt on Turbo Kits, here's one from F-max. http://www.i-m-racing.com/fmaxturkitfo3.html
If you are seriously looking to turbo, you might want to think about upgrading your tranny. The stock auto tranny can't hold more than 300-350hp safely and reliably, I'd say. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
just a side note...a bit contradictory that you would say an exhaust can make the car sound ricey, hence the need for civics, yet you've got a neon license plate frame on the SC? , just bustin your *****, as long as you like it man

Second, this is not the way to make yourself feel welcome here! As you see, people have responded to your question. Sometimes, members either are too busy, or don't have the answer, or maybe they just let your post sit a while so you would search. You did indicate that you tried searching yet it didn't reveal any info. I find that hard to believe as the issue/s you are mentioning have been discussed ad nauseum!!!!
There has recently been a lot of discussion here at CL concerning new members and repetetive, previously asked questions. Older members were replying with terse statements like "use search", etc. While I feel that the more experienced users have calmed those repsonses down, new memebers have not put forth the energy to better their experiences here.
