Default Sc Stock Exhaust Question??

Okay i was reading a while back and someone said that they unbolted the stock exhaust and the car sounded great i think it was a sc400. First off i would like to say i have a sc300 5 speed, pretty much stock for now but i wanted to make the car sound a little more throaty and more aggressive sounding. i was curious has anyone else done this also?? In the future i plan to go turbo but till then i want a cheap/temporary fix for this so i dont want a full sytem.. but instead of just unbolting the exhaust just remove them completly and have a pipe with tips welded from the resonators back like in this link. http://ebay.jhotexports.com/12917/12917_0.jpg
If anyone has done this before please let me know, and any feedback is appreciated.. thanks

I know on my SC4, I unbolted the rear mufflers, and it sounded nice. It was kind of ghetto w/ no tips, but I only did it temporarry.

I think, on the SC3, w/ the tips (like in your link) it would sound good. Plus....very cost effective. Ive considered it.
