swap takes a day or 2 fully prepped.. ask around ur local auto electric and make sure u find one ASE certified and have them extend it, make sure to tell em to fully replace the knock wires.

how about the tranny?

the 98+ have the gated shifter - do the 98+ soarers came this way as well in JAP?

Going to try to revive this thread after all these years. No one mentioned the fuel tank in the later models of the sc's and the evap ***** being moved. Is the usdm 97+ tank compatible with a vvti 1jzgte? There used to be a stickied 1jz guide but it died years ago and now I'm left tracking down anyone and everyone who's stuck with these cars 😂 if you know a decent amount about these swaps please reach out! I'd love to pick your brain!
