There was a guy on SF that went single using one of these ss autochrome kits. he hasn't had any problems so far. I think with our cars there was a problem clearing the distributor but its not hard to correct.

din,
from what i remember the parts were ok/ so-so. (what you have pictured)
but DONT use the e-bay turbo, its poo-poo. a few people lost motors when
the turbo came apart. the compressor side housing is literally glued together - LOL

ss autochrome stuff has a nasty rep for cracking at the welds. it's cheap for a reason. but just for show, it will probably work. Don't drive it hard a lot.

The SSAutochrome stuff is good if you inspect all the welds and fix anything if needed. Also adding in a brace or 2 doenst hurt. If its cheap enough, its worth the extra time to do whats needed. There is no reason to spend $$$$$ for name brand stuff if you get a little inventive.

That one you have pictured... 1/2in flanges, and stainless.. cant go wrong there. Very good materials. I do not like the wastegate tube design how it goes agenst the flow if the exhaust gases, but im sure if you keep it under 30psi and 600hp you'll have no surge problems.

yea, it's the cavy crowd but, you'll get the gist. It carries very consistently across all applications. The welds suck. Saw one personally on a b18'd booster bucket - busted, melted, warped and twisted. After a few weeks of use. Professionally, stay away. Better can be done in the classifieds.
