Heater problem
I dont have any heat. After researching I determined it could be the heater control valve so I got one and it still doesnt work.
What else could it be? I think I'm going to change the thermostat next. If that doesnt work then what could it be?
I need to fix this quickly.

Yes I searched here. Did you think I went and got a heater control valve on a whim?
The coolant is full to the top in the resevoir and the coolant light isnt on. Is there any other way for me to tell if the coolant is too low?

Can't know what you don't tell us....
Coolant light doesn't matter- my heater didn't work due to low coolant, and the light was not on. The level can be low enough to cause heater probs, but not low enough to trip the light.
No harm in putting in more coolant, just to try - if you overfill, the excess blasts out the pressure cap. If that's not it, give us more info to help diagnose what's going on.
If you are in a hurry, I'd also keep searching- there are plenty of other posts on this issue (usually started in November and December, oddly enough!).

I went back and double checked by opening the fill bolt and the resevoir cap. I poured some more in until it overflowed in the resevoir. The coolant is definately full.
It just blows cold air when I put the heat on. I dont know what else to say. I bought the car in May so I had never tried to use the heat until recently. The air conditioning is ice cold and works perfectly.
First thing I tried was swapping the hoses, with no luck. I then bought a heater control valve after reading on here that if the hose swap doesnt work then its probably the valve. No dice there either.
I let the car get up to normal temperature and even drove it around and I never got hot air or even warm air.

Disconnect the heater hoses and with a little pressurized air, see if they blow out all the coolant. If not, the core is stopped up and needs replacing. If the engine temp guage reads normal "midway" rwading, the thermostat is closing and opening. I would be sure on the core prior to replacing, it's a messy job.

you keep saying the resivoir bottle is full, have you taken the radiator cap off
& checked it too? i've been doing this a long time, but where is the fill bolt?
are you opening the block drains??
anyway, when the cars up to temp are both heater hoses equally hot @ the heater core?
if not, instead of using compressed air on the heater core, use a garden hose.
disconnect both hoses from the core. i would put a longer hose on 1 side, so your
away from the car a little & can watch whats coming out the other side. if it flows water
ok, switch your set up to the other side & try again. if the water flows in/out both sides ok,
its not your problem & time to move on.
