trans dont shift until slightly warm??

Default trans dont shift until slightly warm??

i have a problem in the morning when i first drive the car that the trans doesnt shift until it gets a little warm. anyone else got this problem?? i would have to warm the car up about 5-10minutes then it would shift normal. any suggestions?

normal on the 5speed
or atleast mine does it

Just a guess, but he probably has an auto. My manual shifts fine cold or warm weather though.

When i lived in maine, when it was like -10 degrees.. my jeep cherokee 4.0 (basically same transmission lol), did the same

that happens when a tranny has mileage and needs a flush that happend to my old camry that i had and i just change the fuild and it worked perfect after that

ah right, but mine still dosent shift as smooth cold, but now that i think about it the clutch just might be getting a little heat in it to engadge smoother.

ya imma try a flush and new filter. i'll see how that goes. it not bad if i have time to warm it up but when im late for work i cant just jump in the car a go..

I Had/Have the same problem. I don't have the fix yet, but I'm pretty sure it's a fluid problem.
Mine did it much worse right after the rebuild, and I think it may have had air trapped, and the fluid was having a problem traveling until it bleed itself.
Check the fluid level, and maybe a flush.
Mine has gotten better which led me to belive it was air.

Do you have an oil cooler on the trans?
My second theory was that the cooler draining the oil back into the trans pan caused a problem until the pump moved all that extra oil.
