Total: $4250 - not accounting for the time invested compiling the conversion parts

How is this desirable over a USDM setup with known mileage?

jeez what parts are you using to go "USDM"???

the biggest differences are turbo, intake cam shaft, turbos, and injectors.... all of which won't cost you over 1k at higher than normal pricing (used)

unless you're thinking ECU? which is pointless if you're going to use aftermarket fuel management

I got ECU and USDM Harness which was a huge chunk of that change. I also got things like Fuel pump, Fuel pump ECU, EFI pack, Ignitor, and um a few more things, I cant recall the rest right now. From what ive read you can do without some of these parts, but I just went ahead and got everything.

And I still need a few parts.

yea you don't need a US wire harness or ECU to make it work.... those 2 things will be a HUGE chunk!

Why the discrepancy in what people consider necessary to the conversion? There must be some pros/cons of using the USDM harness & ECU.

How much RWHP can the stock ECU can handle with the USDM MAF system or the JDM MAP system?

I am considering TEC3 EMS or the AEM EMS? What do you guys think. Im planning on using a GT42 turbo instead of using the stock twins before I put in the 2JZGTE. Of course the fuel system will to be upgrade also.

All the info you want can be found by searching here and on Supraforums. But I went ahead and got everything for the USDM swap to make the swap as smooth as possible. I basically want everything to be upto USDM spec 2J so I can goto autozone and ask for parts on a 95 supra turbo. Not be out of luck because I need a replacement JDM part or something I buy isnt compatible with the JDM motor.

The USDM 2J in stock form has 320hp, while the JDM has 280hp. If your going to go standalone, then the ECU dosent matter, and most of the JDM parts wouldnt matter. But I dont really plan on making huge power, and I dont want any headaches in the future (hence a full USDM conversion)

There is a complete USDM auto swap on SF right now for $3K that's a good deal imo.
