Depends at what level at mods you're looking at... for example, last time I had my car dyno'd, all I had was a BFI fitted (stock Toyota panel filter), and my pulled 149.3rwkw, or approx. 200rwhp, and that's just with a BFI (remember I've got a 1JZ in my Soarer). I've had an exhaust fitted, but I'm planning to get it changed again (too low, I need something tucked in more to the bodywork), A'PEXi S-AFC to be tuned (or go all out and buy a Blitz Access ROM) and get it dyno'd again. A lot of guys here in Australia have pulled over 200rwkw (270rwhp) with simple mods - exhaust, BFI, boost... if you wanna go more there's tons left in it, there's a guy here in Aus that I know that's pulling over 300rwkw (403rwhp!) and is still very streetable. If you're interested in a stroker kit for the 1JZ, your best bet is to get a good condition 2JZ block and fit the 1JZ head on it, known as the 1.5JZ.
Hope that helps.

TT engine in SC300
If you have a work space, and basic mechanical skills, no reason you can't do the swap yourself. I did, as well as some 40 others who followed my instructions. www.ultimateLexusTT.com

1UZFE/2JZGTE

XAT Racing in Florida installs this engine(1JZ-GTE) they quoted me $4800 installed for basic setup including side mount intercooler. Clutch upgrade would be extra of course. I learned about them when i had my 240sx i had a s14 with sr20det conversion. I think they are in Tampa.

I think this 1JZ is being made out to be a harder swap than it is. I don't think using a Soarer wiring harness would be hard at all.. However I am now in the process of putting me together a 1JZ swap for my 95 SC300... I am going to use a 1JZ out of a soarer because it already has the right oil pan fitted to it which is different than that of a MK3 supra...Now I am going to use a MKIV 6 speed harness complete with the 550 injectors (a small upgrade over the 370s or 440s of a soarer).. I guess you could say I am going to make my very own USDM 1JZ....I have had NO less than 3 2JZ swaps ready to go in my car and everytime somebody would offer me money for them and I would sell... Here is what I have so far
(1) 1JZGTE (soarer) motor only $750.00
(1) USDM Supra TT 1995 ECU $350.00
(1) used Blitz 4 core FMIC for soarer with all piping (don't want to tell price for this sorry)
(1) set 550 injectors and injector pack and noise suppr. $225.00
(1) power st. pump amd remote res. for TT supra Free
(1) TT mass air meter $55.00 (might even use this)
AND Phils manual $200.00 at the time of purchase I thought this was way to much money BUT this is really a bargain
Im going to try it in the next few months hey whats the worse thing that can happen?

Here ya go.... some teaser pics... It's a JDM 1999 Supra 2JZ-GTE VVTi engine. I sold my 1JZ to a local Supra owner, so soon, we'll have a couple of JZers in the DFW area. Too much noise going on about how complicated it is.... it's really not. You need the basics tho.... motor mount brackets, ECU, MAF, etc, etc. Also, if you VVTi engine comes from an Aristo, you WILL need the key and immobilizer stuff... otherwise DO NOT plan to use a stock ECU.

Basically, check out the threads on Supraforums.com.... search for VVTi. I am sure that you can get the swap done, relatively inexpensively in Texas. Ken is the man!!!! Get him the from clip and the donor car and I bet he can do it!
