Headlights dim when I hit the brakes
Essentially what the title says. When driving at night and I hit the brakes the headlights dim as the brake lights come on. They don't shut all the way off or antyhing, but they noticeably dim and come back. Is this some sort of issue that I should look in to, or just deal with it? I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, but nothing crazy.

Start with a multimeter. What are the battery voltages with engine running and you load the lamps with the brake lights? Then without brake, then without lights....Then without engine?
If the battery is old, this might be a symptom. Or a poor ground on the body side of the battery cable. If your not lucky, your voltage regulator in the alternator or the alternator itself. Have it checked at a good auto electric shop.

Hi all! My 1990 LS400 just started doing the wierd lights dimming thing last night. Only when I hit the brakes.....then a couple times the radio shut off but came right back on again. Also last night all my dash lights came on for a bit and the car began to die....I put it in neutral and gave her hell and they all came back on. I'm sure this is probably related to this problem. Is it difficult to change out the ground cable? Does it just get corroded or what happens to it? I'm going out to check it now before it gets dark. Sounds like an easy fix! Mark
