Default SC400 Hydraulic Fan Conversion

Has anyone converted the hydraulic fan on the SC400 to electric fans yet? I'm thinking about doing it but there's one thing that I'm still confusing, and hope that some of you might help me out. It's the ECU cooling fan. It's a separate unit from the engine ECU. However, if I completely disconnect the hydraulic pump and use the shorter belt instead, will the ECU cooling fan do any bad? Or if I still keep the pump on the belt, bridging the hoses, but disconnect the hydraulic fan, will there be any problem with this ECU?

Any info. will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'd like to plug the 2 lines on the pump and leaving as much oil in it as possible. However, I heard from someones that the pump got burnt by doing this. So I thought I might reuse the oil reservoir and fill half of it so there will be more oil feeding the pump.

Congratulations! So you're still keeping only the oil reservoir, and no cooler? How much oil did you fill in the reservoir? Did you have to take out the valves inside the pump? Did you notice any horpepower improvement?

Good Work!

I'm curious to know as well.

Never looked into it at all but why not remove the pump and get a shorter belt?
