OK, i feel a little better. I ran 3 0-60s and 1 0-60/ 1/4 mile with my Gtech Pro. The 0-60 were all consistant, the median being 6.75 sec and the 1/4 was 14.98 sec. which is consistant with the 0-60 times. Conditions: Cool Night just above freezing, warm tires, approx 1/8 tank of gas, me (220 lbs). Car is stock, unless you consider the K&N a mod, summer tires (excellent grip) and I brake torqued it to about 2000 rpm before launched.

Did 2 more 1/4 mile runs with the Gtechpro last night. 1st without reving up to 1800-2000rpms in a brake torque: 15.10 @ 94mph, the second time I torqued it and ran 15.00 @ 96mph. It seems like the brake torque trick cuts a nice 1/10 off the quarter!

OR.... the 95 SC400 got the improved engine but with the lousy manifolds was still 10hp under the LS400. If anyone has a chassis dyno from a STOCK 95 SC400 we may learn the answer.

OK OK. I traded in the old Gtech pro for a much newer escort GT Timer. Less than a year old I think it is very accurate. I was able to run one 1/4 mile pass at 15.4 sec @ 91mph.
Seems on par with 10 yrs of age. I will have to make a few more runs and see how it goes.

Somebody tell me where a track is in or near the Los Angeles, California area and I will give my sc a run.....
I am sure my old betsy is right up there with the fastest ones on this thread that are still running a stock automatic SC transmission... Drive train mods and gearing is big on these sc...A great stall rate torque converter and a trd or Torsen LSD will do wonders in combination with huge rear tires and coilovers... Get the ponies up on the 4.0 liter V8 and you will be moving with that little wicked combination.....

KInda forgot about things, been so busy. I ran again yesterday 60 degree day, no wind, 1/4 tank of gas:
15.23 @ 92.2MPH
Previous:
15.4 sec @ 91mph
Maybe the old Lex has not lost as much over time as I thought.

Well I guess I will add my two cents here. First off I've never taken my car to an actual track, so I don't know how close these times actually are. I had a Apex'i Rev/Speed Meter with the optional G-sensor that I had adjusted as good as possible, double checking it with the odometer, in car speedometer and a speed radar. It was fairly spot on. My average times were in the low 15's, but my fastest time is as shown below.
This run was done late on a cool night with warm tires and a 1/4 tank of gas. It was a while ago, but I powerbraked it a bit over 2000 RPM and left the line with a tiny bit of wheelspin. This was done with a BFI and RMM mufflers only. Albeit these are in metric and 400 meters is 18 feet shorter than a quarter mile so it may be shown 1-2 tenths faster to the end. But it also shows the car will do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and consistant 15 second quarter mile times in nearly stock form. A bit better than the 7.2 sec 0-60 and 15.4 sec 1/4 mile times given by Lexus. My first few tries were well into the 15's and low 16's, but learning how to launch this car shaves alot off your times. Too much and you get nothing but "pegleg" wheelspin, too little and it feels like a slug off the line. One of these days I will head down to the track and see what it can really do.

I am very dissapointed to see that no one on this forum has broke the 13 second barrier in the quarter with there SC's... I have two friends with turbo'd SC's one single turbo on the Supra motor in an SC400 and Twin turbo on an LS400 and I am running nos with my SC400...We are currently trying to coordinate a palmdale meet and hopefully one of us can beat the 13.1 set by RDM20...His SC400 is impressive and his stock tranny is built too...but we will see....
If anyone is interested in meeting us just Pm me and you are invited...We still are working on it....

With my Super Charged UZZ31 Soarer running on 7psi boost with Open Diff and Street Tyres I ran a 13.59 in Sydney 18 months ago..
Total Weight was about 1,800Kg.
Will try again this year now I have an R154 with the Pull Type Clutch and maybe 9-10psi with some Piggybacking of the ECU..
