New 1/8 mile time. Best 1/8 mile time before tonight was 8.686. Since, I've installed headers.

New time:

RT .127
60ft 1.950
330 5.632
ET 8.569
MPH 84.035

Should put me in the 13.2 - 13.3 range in the quarter, maybe better.

I really need slicks! LOL.

Ok, if this was a "who goes to the dragstrip the most thread", I think I'd be the winner.

Anyway, new 1/8 mile time. About 5-10 degrees cooler tonight, still like 85 degrees.

This should put me at low 13.2's in the quarter, likely high 13.1's.

This is on street tires and a still way to restrictive exhaust.

This thread doesn't seem to be getting much love lately, so I'll post my new times....

I now have a full 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust. New times are..

RT .659
60 ft 1.891
330 ft 5.536
ET 8.443
MPH 85.196

I'd put money on being able to break into the 12's.

Couldn't quite do it.

Went to the 1/4 track tonight.

rt .011
60 1.894
330 5.539
1/8 8.428
mph 85.29
1000 10.921
1/4 13.006
mph 107.71

I could definately hit a high 12 if I could figure out why I'm bouncing on the rev limiter before shifting to second. It litteraly take like a half second or more to shift.

My runs were fairly consistent, worst was like a 13.3 something.

That's nice. At what mph do you get into second gear? Mine is at 40 mph.

About the same, 40 or so.

I think there's a slight possibility that I'm bouncing off the limiter because my tires are spinning when it shifts.

I'll need to find someone to come to the track with me next time I go to watch for me.

This should be worth at least a flat 12.8 in the 1/4!

So the fastest time I have seen for an SC400 is 12.8. Is that right?

Thats it on this thread but thats going to change I hope. I am pretty sure there are a couple others that have beat that. Now if you go across the pond the SC400's get faster. Soon soon soon, just wait.

Kind of.........it's not official.

I ran a 13.006 1/4 et with an 8.428 1/8 time a few weeks back. The above slip is from an 1/8 mile track where I ran an 8.285 which is almost a tenth and a half faster.

SHOULD be a 12.8 or likely even a high 12.7.

I will be hopefully fixing a problem I'm currently having with the trans soon and then eventually going back to a 1/4 track, keep an eye out for updates.

I agree with Scott here, maybe the fastest you've seen so far but I am fairly sure there are and will be soon some faster times.

Heck, mine has the potential to be faster if it would shift. Also keep in mind I'm on street tires and cannot launch at stall.

Ran the 1/4 today. I'm in the 12's. Best run was a 12.85.

I KNOW she has a bit more in her. I was there for 5 hours and only made 3 runs. All my 60 ft times sucked. I had half a tank of gas, I usually run with no more than a quarter tank. I also had an ancient (heavy) laptop and the sub in the trunk which I don't usually run with. Couldn't launch at more than 1800rpm (2800 stall), I tried at 2000 rpm and spun.

If I could have duplicated the 1.793 60 ft I had at the 1/8 track, I would have likely ran a 12.6xx.

The new trans I put in made a huge difference. Still hitting the limiter a little but not nearly as bad.

Here's a vid of a 12.9 run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8YFwC94O5U
