Automatic Soarer tranny into an Automatic SC300?
As the title says, could the automatic Soarer tranny simply be a direct swap with my stock sc300 automatic tranny? Not sure if it matters, but my car is a 1997. I will be NA-T within one month (everything is already ordered), and I don't want my drivetrain to die on me. I've heard the Soarer ATX is a bit stronger than the sc300 tranny, so I felt it would be a good alternative to keeping the stock tranny.
I did a search, but didn't come up with a definite response. I've heard the auto Soarer tranny is a direct swap with the auto sc300 tranny with no modding/fabricating required... is this true? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance,
-Allen

Now all I need is some1 to confirm fitment of the bellhousing onto the block. Anyone know 100% whether or not the soarer tranny will bolt right up to an auto sc300?

It seems like the bellhousing and driveshaft side of the auto soarer tranny will bolt up to my sc300...
anybody know if the tranny cooler lines are the same, along with the wiring, and the shifter mechanism?

Well-- fwiw-- from what I remember you can swap a 1J bottom end/block with a 2J and keep on truckin if your 1J goes bad, and you get an extra .5L --
That being said, I would think the trans would bolt to any 1J or 2J motor--

Mechanically the 1JZ soarer Auto will be a direct replacement for the 2JZ-GE. BUT most of the 1JZ imported to the US are pre-ODB2. So the wire harness and clips only fit Pre-94 SC300s. 95-97 clips are different(Such as Speed sensor) and 98+ 5sp Autos are electronic kick down controlled.
