hey guys, finally got the tranny in, the manual driveshaft is def the one needed, the auto driveshaft is about 2" shorter than the manual one...
so yeah u either need the whole manual driveshaft, or at least the front half of it, the rear halve's of both driveshafts are the same...
p.s. sorry it took so long to get this done, i've got a busy schedule, and ive also been helping ConsynX get his 1jz swap done over weekends...
Thanks.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But how is the performance with the Auto Rear Diff with the w58? Is anyone experiencing anything wierd ? like being at 5K while crusing 80mph ?

Yeah. When Im taking a roadtrip at 80mph my rpms are at 3300 where as before they would be at 3000. You shift alot more when doing city driving. The pumpking is good if you were doing drag but I would definetly not reccomended for top speed driving. Right now I think I can max my car out at 135-140mph. Yeah its that bad.
..and no the auto and manual pumpkins are not the same size.

After searching many threads I still cant seem to find which rear diff fits easiest in my SC3 to replace the stock auto diff. From what I gather the TT Auto rear diff is what most Supra people use but i'd rather not get a custom DS made. And looking at that ratio chart (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=223201) the SC400 seems to have a nice ratio. Would it be possible to swap in a 400 rear diff directly into the 300?
