Welcome to CL

There were a few guys that had some JDM Soarers driving around in the US (I remember one or two being from Florida if I'm correct).

I've got a JDM Soarer but I'm on the other side of the world

EDIT: Oh if you're gonna do a 2JZ conversion you might as well buy a US SC3 and drop it into that.

I think I've seen a few RHD soarers on here, not for sale though. Question why don't you save some cash and HKS turbo your Z? Putting hairdryers on a Z should make it move

A SC/soarer plus the engine. Your talking way more money than the bolt on turbo kit for the Z

If you searched you would have seen that there are a handfull of RHD soarers in the states. Are they legal? sort of... Is it worth the head ache, not really, as you already have the LHD model available here and the same engines will bolt right in with no problems. If you set of getting something else to boost, then just get an older SC300 or 400, pull then engine and do the swap.

Theres a RHD 2.5 GT-T soarer forsale here in Orlando for 15k. Would not be legal for use in Cali tho. None of them would be unless you got diplomatic immunity lol.

Just get an older model SC300, and motor swap it with the 1JZGTE. Its easy.. so easy i have two of them lol.

And thus begins the battle of the engines!

Stick to your stock engine, build it (fairly cheap and easy to do), and go NA-T for power!

Forget the swaps

Yeah NA-T might be one of my next projects. Its hard to beat 300rwhp and mid 13s with NO mods except upgraded boost on a 1JZGTE swap, total cost $1800ish when done (and 20+mpg and 200k+ mile reliablility)

Actually i have a valid question for you.

Was 91/92 the only year with the shift/unlock button for the auto? (so u can change gears without having the key in with battery power) Or did it come in newer years also.

Yeh because you can only go fast by putting turbo kits on non-turbo motors!
