the 1jz is not a sequential setup like the 2j thats why you wont feel the second turbo if thats what your meaning.

you don't feel the 2nd turbo at all since they are non-sequential.
it's better this way for top-end power anyways.

That doesnt bother me, (dont tell AEM you have it on 1jz and dont take apart the casing) and also I like having several AEM tuners to choose from, all local is nice and where ever I go I can find one. The quote I got from a HKS Fcon tuner was about 5k installed and tuned. Plus the travel expense and dyno time cost. Thats a little too much money for something I cant change or adjust ever. Auto trans control, boost control, traction control, closed loop, knock control and other goodies are nice to have in ems. Aem also has an internal baro sensor(yeah for weather and elevation changes) HKS cannot datalog for end user, cannot drive warning lights, Control Boost vs RPM or Boost vs MPH. No decent nitrous control, etc.........Whos gonna tune your PHR in New Mexico or Sp Engineering in California?

AEM seems the way to go.. what would be the best way to install on a 1JZGTE?

Get an ecu with the 2JZGTE plug, cut the end off the 1JZ hanress and splice in a 2JZGTE plug and wire accordingly? That way at least if it ever crapps out, they'll never tell it was custom installed.

Why cant AEM make it for the 1JZGTE, maybe by summer if enough ppl bug em they will

The only tuners of FCON are Sound Performance in CHicago(who tune AEM mainly, have only tuned 2 hks), PHR in New Mexico, SPE and Dynamic Motorsports in Cali.

Im sorry but that really sucks

You can make a conversion harness(like a fields harness but with an extra purpose), its just repinning. Its easy to do

There a few ways to tell if a 1jz has been on it, you have to change to batch fire injection and mosu tuners leave setup notes on the tune, so dont do that.

I doubt AEM will release for a 1jz anytime soon. There would have to be a very large % of aem w/ 1jz conversions. If you notice there arnt many high HP 1jz in the country(i blame it on lack of ems)
