Default check engine ligh, whats the cause for yours

My check engine light is on, but theres nothing noticable about the car that could be wrong.
Im too broke to go to a dealship and get it looked at. What are the reason that your guys lights went on.

Go to autozone and they'll run a free scan on it. Probably an O2 sensor.

Mine went on cause the planets were aligned!!!

Check the engine section of the forum...I saw some stuff there awhile back

nm. its a stupid question. it could be any thing. Ima go check a gas cap or a dip stick. These computers are way to sensative!

WTF are you talking about? They have set perimeters and when they go outside that it throws a light. Autozone will tell you why its on for free so whats the big deal?

Yeah, you really need it scanned. It could be nothing or everything. Gas cap is always a good check point though.
