ok, first of all... why do you say the 2.5L sti motor doesnt have any RnD behind it?
weight of the STi's GC or GD could be more or less, they have a lot of different models.

First, thanks the referral towards that thread with the spreadsheet, that helped alot.
Secondly, what is with the no RnD behind the EJ257? While Subaru spent more time with the EJ207, the EJ257 is an excellent motor but you can not compare it to the 10+ year old 2JZ-GTE and 4G63 because it simply has not been out long enough for the aftermarket to take advanatge of its true potential.
The 06 STI weighs a tad bit over 3300, it is certaintly no light weight but damn does it handle well.

EDITED FOR BEAN: I got my info from TIF and Wikipedia. I stand by my facts, because they are backed up by informational sources. All of them correct and non-biased.

WHAT? do you understand how long the 4g has been out for? its already understood to be one of the greatest motors of all time. what a bad statement that is.

^Saying it like this it is an accurate statement, the EJ257 has been out 3 years and is almost reaching the levels the 4G63 took 10 years of existence to accomplish.

i'll let you know how i make out.
if she wont run an 11 w/ my lame reaction time i'll give it to you.
DO IT & kick that subby to the curb.
