The shop that swap for me was Spark racing. They did a fairly good job. But I know of other places that can do excellent job too.
Yeah, going with AEM in the begining would be easier.
The hardest problem is the harness. That took the longest because of all the wiring extentions and modification. I would recommend go with new harness even though it cost more it is worthed. You dont want to extend old wiring harness that could break and you have to trace out the wire later. It would be a pain.

The new harness you purchased was it a 2jzgte harness or a 2jzge harness? Also did it plug into the interior harness of the car fine? I'm not sure if that makes since.

I'm looking to do the swap with a NA motor, i have the motor, mounts, trans, ecu, wireharness from a SC300 and the radiator. This should be almost a direcet drop in, i'm just worried about the harness any insight going 2jz on the sc400 with wiring problems?

I purchase the 2jzgte harness. In your case it should be a direct drop with some minor rewiring in IMO. Good luck.

Can you go into detail of why/how it is inaccurate? On my 97 I couldn't even get the damn thing to register anything at all. I REALLY do not want to have to get an aftermarket tach...thats way to..(please ignore the pun)..Tacky..

The wiring is the hardest part but it was done successful. Everything works including seat memory and warmer function that the Sc400 have. I went with the JDM engine set up so I have JDM injectors, Turbo, and no MAF. But I'm planning on going Single turbo setup soon so I will update on pictures and everything.

Yeah, I know how you feel about aftermarket Tach. I dont want that either. The reason it is inaccurate is because of the signal or the resistor value in the Sc400 tach. What I do is I install the SAFCII in the cigarette compartment and have it display actual RPM. Look at the pics below and see the difference of the numbers on the SAFC and my tach.

On the SAFC it shows 661 actual rpm and the Tach shows just slight over 1k rpm.

Some Dyno result I just wanna share before I do more things to the car. This is at 9psi stock boost, stock everything, and untune. Just give it a quick pull at a friend dyno place. It seems to have boost spike due to that I don't have a real CAT thats why fuel cut so early.
