My PS pump went sour (sounds like peters ) so i was checking my parts bin around the garage. Apparently, the 2JZGE non turbo PS pump is the same exact pump as the 1JZGTE turbo power steering pump. You just remove the tank off the 2JZGE pump and put the hose adatper on from the 1JZ pump. I figured they were the same, toyota wouldnt make all sorts of different parts for each car.

Problem solved

So basically, from your sc300 2JZGE to a soarer 1JZGTE, every accessory is directly interchangeable except water pump (thats 2jzgte).

Yeah, I actually used my GE pump on my GTE since I didn't have an extra one, but as soon as I got the car on the road, it went south.

The silicone vacuum line i used to the pump split unknowly to me. I since changed it out to braided rubber, but its too late. Thats the sure-fire way to quickly destroy a pump. Lucas PS gunk keeps it somewhat quiet, but its very annoying. If it isnt raining ill swap it out for a GE one tonight. I might also extend and hook-up the power wire to the rack, so the power-assist goes in both modes (not just full-time highway mode), its starting to get old.

Also its time for another set of replacement urathane rack bushings. The ones off luxurymods.com are trash. Now that daizen makes them, i think they might last longer then 6 months hopefully.
