Stock bore, my block was fine so no point in machining. You can however bore out to get a bit more displacement. I don't want to run a hard block, so I left stock bore and will be happy with about a 3.25l. Comp is damn near stock 8.5:1.

so basically, you added about 7mm to the crank and ran custom rods and pistons.. what size turbo are you running? it would be nice to see the spool characteristics with this setup

No we didn't grind that much off the crank, we also used custom pistons and a slightly modded rod size to achieve this. The big difference is in the rod journal sizes, and the size bearings you use to ensure proper clearance on the ground crank. It's critical to make sure they are all within accordance, as well as making sure the deck is checked for any positive clearance.

I'm running an 47-80

You fill the water/cooling jackets of the block with a special resin/epoxy to strengthen. You end up loosing drivability as it will now have no way to pull heat, so it becomes a "race" car in my mind. I opted to not fill it at all, some do 1/2. I love driving my car and didn't want to hinder driving to the track etc.. Hope the stock block doesn't crack at 1100+rwhp

Here are some updated pics as of last night

SP Stroker 3.2l
BIG custom crane cams
+1mm valves
GT47-80
SP Racing header
SP Racing intake
1600cc injectors
+ much more!!!

Getting some little things fixed and should have it up and running very soon.

Chris
