I'm unclear of exactly what you have on your car. Do you have full BFI and 2.25 pipes with a X pipe from the cat to the muffler?

In any case, nice gains..The 1UZFE is still a underachiever...

yes I have a BFI, and the 2.25 piping running from the 3rd cat to the mufflers.... no X pipe

But I would like to go back and buy an X pipe and redo it from the headers down.

Your number seem to be a little on the low side. Dx3 had 240 TQ on the dyno with relatively the same mods but, he had a complete exhaust with X pipe and 3rd resonator deletion...I bet that center resonator is restrictive as well...I understand California have strict emission laws so center resonator delete is probably not an option...Either way, nice work...

nice gains man!

that tuning really made the difference, thats great. Were you running rich before? I just had my car dynoed yesterday and at WOT it was running very rich.

Oh and it says your dyno went to past 6,500 rpm? im confused, rev limiter kick in around 6,200 or something?

Well on mine the needle itself goes into the red a little bit.. When I floor it, it climbs to 6500ish bounces off the rev limiter and then shifts....

Ohh yea my car ran rich… it was ridiculous..

How do you run an automatic car on the dyno? Stick it in Low and go from there, or leave it in D and just slowly increase gas to not let it shift?

Well to get an accurate reading for what your putting down at the wheels you need to be in a final gear that has the closest 1=1 ratio with the engine. So with mine I believe Darren was in 3rd gear for the final run, but to get the whole graph as you see in the 1st picture he would put it in L and when just rev to redline and then shift to the next gear all the way until 3rd.

The header install and deletion of those two little cats located on your down pipies will make the biggest difference...I got big gains from that combined mod....Going into dyno tune and test on Wednesday, I too am running the apexi and running rich for nos.... I am hoping to get nice numbers when the final tune is complete....... .

I am just wondering since I am going to install the S-AFC here too.
Just in theory , Sc400 ECU constantly readjusts the AFM.
With the ECU reset many SC owners including me feel a gain in power for a while but after ECU relearns again it adjusts itself to previous levels. So I am thinking here if the ECU still functions like it should it should try to tune itself down again after S-AFC tuning and by this lowering the power output again after driving for some time.
ANyone notice power loss after a while of driving after tuning with S-AFC????????

If it adusts it won't be much....Your final setiting should sitck for a while....I wouldn't worry about problems other then using a good tuner whom knows what he is doing....

wait. so did you have 176 rwhp with the cat-back and intake, then added 32rwhp with the tune alone?
