hmm really sorry to hear that. Sometimes projects dont go the way you want it.

As for headgasket, the 1JZ and the 2JZ are interchangable, but I wouldnt take that chance.

www.rockauto.com you can get a headgasket there for less then $100.00

thickness wise they are equal but the 1jz has larger holes for the water jackets. The gaskets are the same besides that.
