for those of you who did go custom driveshaft, did you go 1pc or 2
if 1pc did you have vibration problems?
i plan to ditch this hybrid set-up and getting something more pefect fit(feels like this one's slid out a BIT too much)

Red - I am sorry to hear two shafts failed on you, that is horrible...A snapped shaft at high speeds can really cause havoc under the car, ouch!!!!....... I definetely want to avoid that from happening...You can screw up a lot of stuff with those shaft ends flying around after breakage...
Dejacky says they are reliable and you say they are not... What to do? Red- what are you running now on your SC300 with the TH400 tranny? Steel shafts? By the way did you make the adaptor plate yourself for the TH400? No overdrive on that tranny any regrets? I am suprised you did not go with the V160 with an SC300.... Anyway thanks for the replies........

Thanks for the tips fellas....I am hearing way to many horror stories about these alluminum driveshafts failing....Another guy wasted four shafts on one car, another twisted his alluminum shaft with only 400bhp.. He said wheel hop had something to do with the shaft failing....
For safety reasons alone I am going to pass on the Aluminum driveshaft...Any thoughts on Carbon FIber driveshafts? What are the Nascar, Top fuel dragsters, funny cars, and monster trucks using, Alluminum, Carbon Fiber or Steel shafts...I have never seen a driveshaft snap on the Nascar curcuit......Anyone?
