well i put one of my stock mufflers on (because i had only 1 by me and i diddnt want to drive any more w/o one) and man it sounds really nice. i mean its just a tad too much, but its pretty quiet, i atleast i now have the option of driving silent if i choose, and i can get on it and be heard a lil if i want, im thinking of going a route sumwhat like this with stock 300 exhaust, and then mayby a cutoff to let her breathe at the track or something.... well im takin off to WA for 2 weeks so time to put my car away 4 now....

yea, i guess u can put a accuator on them and then a boost controller off that, and u can set it to open up at certain boost. sounds like that would actually be awesome in performance, that way u wouldnt loose that low end hp like u would normally if u ran strait headers, but then once u build up that boost there will be no restrictions

anyone else interested in a SS304 mid-pipe to get rid of the cat, AND take care of the extension to be able to use a Supra exhaust?

Happy Panda;
Hi mate Lew here from Australia
i will try to post up a pic of the dump pipes i make over here.
thay are good for 32 rwkw (sorry guys can you do the calculations to Hp)
when thay are run with a single 3" system or a single 3" split to twin 2 1/2"
I can't seem to down load a pic for you
have a look on www.lexussoarer.com
you should find a pic on there
cheers Lew

My calculator says 32kw is 42 hp.

Your downpipe can seriously get 42 more horsepower over the standard 1JZ DP?

How much does it cost (including getting it to the US)?

I'm looking for a 3" DP for my 1JZ to mate up to my 3" midpipe and exhaust. If I can get anywhere near 42hp from one part, I'm all over it.

Let me know.

can anyone confirm the mkiii downpipe bolts up to the stock sc exhaust

SOMEONE had to have gotten a JZA70 engine set, and installed it on a stock exhaust atm.

mkiii downpipe will fit if you get it cut shorter and reflange it. atleast thats what i'll have to do with my set up.

to use an mkiv downpipe you'd be better off geting one custom made...

im using an hks hi-power catback from an mkiv with a custom made 3" mid pipe. everyone i know loves the way it sounds. sounds like a motor cycle at around 3k rpm.

MKIII downpipe does not fit a SC300 body.

MKIV downpipe doesnt fit a 1JZ or SC300 at all.

MKIV exhaust doesnt fit the SC300 without modification...

Any SC300 exhaust for the 2JZGE bolts right up to the 1JZGTE downpipe.

Ive also dyno'd over 300whp with stock exhaust (with mufflers removed and cat guted) on a stock twin 1jzgte.
