Missing Oil Mystery

Help! Got my '92 SC3 5speed with 130K back in April. Gorgeous car. Like new in and out. But I'm losing a quart of oil per 1K miles. No smoke. No oil drips. What can it be? Thanks, New SC owner

same prob

same thing happened to mine..try chekcin ur distributor o rings...u could have a slight leak but if u like to drive fast like me it'll **** out fast...check it out hope it helps u out

Also check the around the valve cover. If you see a ring of oil around the base of the valve cover, you may need new valve cover gaskets.

Yeah I had that valve cover problem. I had a ring of oil around the valve cover. I would get a low oil level light showing up every 3000 miles. Ever since I changed it it seems like it wont be popping up for a good while.
