So it seems there may be some confusion (by me at least, if no one else) on the solenoids in the SC400 trans. There are 4 solenoids. Solenoid 1 and 2 are the shift solenoids. Solenoid 3 is for lock-ip. Solenoid 4 is for accumulator back pressure modulation.....

I'm going to try disconecting solenoid no 4 to see what happens. If this solenoid doesn't actually control line pressure, then its not really needed and...the Suprastick should work fine.

I'm interested. I wonder how the a650e is setup or if it would be compatible with similar modification. I've always wanted the 5sp auto for fun to drive factor and better ratios, but still auto for daily driving. I've got a spare a650 in the garage waiting to go.
