Default na-t headgasket question

im going na-t and was wondering if a headgasket from a 2jzgTe will work on our 2jzge blocks?

i "searched" and it seems it will work, but im just looking for reassurance before i buy.
2mm is what im after but im second guessing myself towards a 1.6 i think it was.

thanks in advance for feedback fellas

yes it will work its the same block, as for the size you should go with the 2mm for sure. it will hold more boost.

definately on a NA-T, a thicker gasket will reduce your CR a bit and give you a bit of room to play with boost

If you're not going to run crazy boost, save some money and just get the OEM GTE hg. On non-VVT-i GE motors it will drop the CR to ~9:1.

im thinking of running 12-14psi ? i assume a 2.0mm HG would be the better alternative correct?

No, I think a 2JZ-GTE will work better since you'll have more low-end and offboost power compared to thicker headgaskets. Another CL member is running 16psi perfectly fine with a pt61 turbo and ~9:1 compression using the supra TT headgasket. I'm also installing the supra tt headgasket when my engine block returns from the machine shop. This may sound redundant, but tuning will make ALL the difference in the world as to how your car runs. The 2jz-gte headgaskets can be had for ~$76 shipped from www.carjunky.com. So you save money and get a better powerband this way.

If your goal is to build a track car with tremendous peak horsepower 500+rwhp, then a thicker headgasket might be the way to go. But IMHO, a slightly thinner headgasket like the supra TT one will give you a better and more useable powerband on the street.
