I say take the hood off, and jump right into the engine bay and straddle that I6 to change the plugs.
...occasionally turn around, face forward grab the assy. belt and let out a loud "yeeehaw!" as a form of stress relief.
Makes changing plugs far more enjoyable, IMHO.
PS: Also take out the EGR system and throw it as far as you can... unless you're in a cali-spec smog state, in which case grab the nearest politician, and throw them as far as you can.

Finally bought a new camera. See, I gotta remove the strut bar before I can even get the engine cover off to get to the hoses to disconnect the intake to............

I just did it.....started at 6ish finished 10ish...SUCKED ALL THE WAY!!!
I practically "Hulked Out" in my garage trying to get the damn throttle off!!!!
I needed a longer extension for plugs 3-4...had to stop and run to the hardware store.
Mostly I did it cause I wanted to see how the engine was running, check the plugs....they look new...whatta shocker.
Now I'm going to sell it, cause I want a SC400 just for the plugs!!!!

I stripped a bolt on my TB so damn bad that i still don't have it off and i did this back in April. Its a good thing that i do have another car but also bad because i really don't try to get it out any more, but then i really don't know what else to do to get it out.I used WD-40,PB blaster, bought a bolt-out kit from sears that did nothing but strip it even more. The only thing I can think of is drilling a hole in it and and may be that will help. Any ideas please do tell me.
Thanks
Richard

damn is it that bad? lol on my last SC i only had the 2jzge in there for about 3 months before i did my 1jz swap.. i'm probably gonna rock my 2jzge for a good bit longer so hopefully i get by without doing spark plugs anytime soon lol.. i'm sure i'll just search for threads when the time comes, but can you just remove the small section of the intake mani or do you have to take the whole thing off?

yea the y at the plenum does suck removing.. i remember i had a b**ch of a time removing the egr form the plenum.. that was the frustratign part about changing plugs.. or had a leaking valve cover gasket or when you kinda forgot NOT to wash yoru valve covers with a garden hose.....
