For the 98+ owners wanting an IS300 SRT Intake
Bought an SRT just to see if it'll all bolt up and connect. Completely forgot about the maf sensor though, our SC3 one won't match up to the IS pipe, i believe the gs3 has the same shape though. i suppose you could mod the pipe to accept the maf sensor but that was beyond the scope of what i was doing today.
The R-ECU will fit by the ecu but it's a close one. Also the wiring diagram doesn't completely match ours but with some sleuthing it should be able to be done. i figured out most of it though using combo of gs3/sc3/supra/safc diagrams.
here's a pic of it somewhat installed.
It rubs the shock towerand there is no support for it to sit so it kind of just hangs there. the IS heat shield would not work at all because its too tall, it'll hit the hood when closed. Maybe the GS one is different.
This also means the LMS CAI won't work without maf modding and neither will any other intake meant for the IS. It will physically fit though.
If you're really inclined to get this intake go for the gs3 one. that should work better then the IS.
