2JZ GTE in an SC400?? Can It be done?
Hey guys! Brand new to this site and this is my first post. Im drastically in love with the sc and have been for quite some time so I just recently picked up an SC400. It has suspension work, intake, bo-bo exhaust and a beefed up tranny. My whole reason for buying the car was its sexiness and ability to accept a 2jzgte engine. Now I know I would need a new subframe and some motor and tranny mounts but other than that what else would I need? I am also thinking about doing either a single turbo or twin on my 4.0 but I haven't heard of anyone successfully doing it. So if anyone on here knows of anyone doing either I would greatly appreciate some advice...... more so towards the 2jz! lol

If you installed a deceint street cam and opened up the exaust the thing would fly. What are your intension for the car? I don't really know, honestly, but a cam and exaust would give you upwards of 30% power boost and not a scrap of streetability would be lost. A supercharger would get you closer to 50%. Call Dave Schneider of Schneider Racing Cams for techie data. Asymetrical lobes are a must . I would call that stage one and then go to the Supercharger if you still felt puney.

Just do a single ball bearing turbo (instead of twin), you'll achive more PSI output (when properly tuned). Most of the pro racers do a single turbo. Get a downpipe (this means no longer streetable, this also improves turbo lag) and fully modified exhaust system. A turbo boost controller would be good.
