I need to get me the service manual, I just hate they cost so much. (I'm cheap )

I'll try to find a tps from my local parts place and let everyone know the price and if that fixes the problem. Which I think it should since that is the only code I had. I thought it might be O2 sensor giving wacked readings, but mileage has never dropped off. Thats why it pays to not throw parts at something I guess.

Thanks for the info.
I look at it this way. When I can trouble shoot the problem myself and fix it wit the repair manual. I save the labor money paying the dealer or a garage on that. The money save is the money paid for the repair manual. From then on anything wrong with the car, I can still save even more...
When it is too much then I'll pay someone to fix it. But at least I know what's wrong with the car instead of being screw by the mechanic.

Results are posted in earlier entries. Also, I tried disconnecting my battery again today for 20 minutes. All my light go out, but, I know they will come back on after awhile. Why does it take time for the warning lights (trac, engine) to back on?

This actually applies to the OBD1 owners. I have a print out of the codes and what they mean. Just give me your fax number or email and I'll send it to you.

Ok I attempted this diagnosis but I either got no blinking at all or a rapid continuous blinking. I have a 92 sc 300 and tried the tce1 and the te2 e1 but neither worked. Could the constant blinking be a problem in itself if so what is it or what I am doing wrong. Thanks again.

You need to use TE1 and E1 only.

Do you have a Check Engine Light on right now?

My CK eng. Lite only comes on briefly then goes out and the rpms shoot up. When I use the TE1 E1 connection I dont get any blinking at all.

Did you read this thread? Did you pull the code? If not, start there and report back

Thanks i did read the thread and I've come to the conclusion that its the oxygen sensors, whats the price on them? I called part source and the price range they gave me was $250-$300, but I looked on Ebay and they have them for $50.. How do I know which ones are the right ones when i'm looking on Ebay?
