The reason you've never seen it is it's a bit of a custom piece.

That there little LCD screen thingamabober is my implementation of the Innovate LM-1.
When I took apart the big, clumsy box, I found an LCD conencted to a 3x3" circuit-board.
After looking around for all of 5 seconds in my cockpit, I spotted the Lexus emblem under my forearm (when holding the shifter). It just so happened that the LCD was the exact same size as the emblem.
The rest is history.
Here's a night-shot:

I have a better pic but can't acces it from work. Will post it later.

Absolutely loving it!
Have had a few friends try shifting back and forth with it and they say they've noticed a huge improvement.
Definitely one of my top 'bang for the buck' mods.

Cheers,
~Alan

Is there a similar short shifter for those of us with early W58's?
I've got a 93, but I desperately want a shorter shifter.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the heads up...and yes I did read your post about the 95+ but I cross referenced the part number and it is different but it looks like it'll work, it being an aftermarket kit. we'll see, if not, I'll just sell it (or by a 95+ SC) LOL
have you installed it yet? let us know if it works

I was looking on ebay for short shifters and noticed an ebay seller selling them for the MKIV turbos. I emailed him and asked him if he had any for the non turbos and he did! I will be recieving my short shifter tomorrow for 70 shipped. Hopefully it is better than what the price suggests. I will install it as soon as my motor swap is completed this week.

The one I got was the exact same as the one linked to above. Except it was 70 shipped. The sellers name was A2R Sales or something of that nature. Since I didn't actually buy it on ebay, I do not have a link to it. I just asked someone who was selling them for the 6 speed if they had any for the non turbo MKIV and they confirmed they did.

Wow really? hmmm...I thought all sc300's and na supras had the w58? Isn't the r154 supposedly stronger than the w58? I'll let you know if it fits. If it doesn't, I'll sell it to someone. If my tranny is the r154, could I use a short shifter from an mkiii turbo? Isn't that the car that has the r154 as well?

all mkiv NA supras and Lexus SC300 5 speed manual transmissions are the w58 transmission. If you pay $8,000 for a fully legalized Toyota Soarer, it comes with the R154 transmission.

Please keep in mind that not all SC W58s were created equal.
Wish I knew more details, but (95 W58 != 94 W58) on the SC.

Cheers,
~Alan
