S-afc Dyno Tune Day On My 93 Sc400
Dyno was done on DynoJet
outside temperature at 88 degrees and Humidity at 60%
humidity and higher temperatures probably reduce around 2.5% of engine output. Thats around 5hp and 5 trq so corrected numbers are around 212rwhp and 235rwtrq
Initial Hp was at max 201rwhp and for some reason Tq did not get measured.
Air/fuel ratio was way too rich, so rich that it was off the charts at 10.8 and going lower off the charts
After tuning with S-AFC max power 207.1 rwhp and 229.7 rwtrq
Air/fuel ratio at around 13.0
Even though the peak hp gain was only 6 rwhp, at higher rpms there was gains as much as 15rwhp and probably around the same torque but I can’t really say for sure since on the base dyno torque did not get measured.

Well S-afc only changes the WOT wide open throttle settings and everything else stays the same. It would be nice to change the low throttle settings but Lexus ecu readjusts settings to previous state so this is useless. So no power gains are noticed in city driving only when floored thats when S-afc kikes in. Not very noticable but I do get better g-tech times so i know its working.

Can you please post your S-afc setting? And maybe your fuel ratio graph?

Make sure you ge the SAFC2 as it gives you 200rpm increments instead of 500rpm increments.
As for the original poster - if you were running waay too rich then at least you will be getting better gas mileage

I dont think it really metters anyway on the S-afc 2 since 500rpm increments are just fine.
here are the settings for the S-AFC
3000rpm -3%
4000rpm -11%
5000rpm -13%
6000rpm -12%
6500rpm -11%
35% low 80% high

That is a good dyno for your mods...I have a 1992 SC400 and dyno'd two weeks ago in 100 degree weather at 201 whp and 220 torque...This was running with just my stock ECU only and a completely disconnected Apexi safc. Speaking with the racing tuner and dyno experts he had told me with a functional Apexi connected and fully tuned in I should expect no more then an addition 10whp...This is promising for future dyno results on my car if your numbers are correct...WOW.... I did not dyno under the nos...my bottle was dead...
