Thanks alot how much do those run and also how difficult would it be to put these in. I alrdy have every thing off due to the tuneup that is now on hold from the massive amount of oil in the spark plug chamber. This is what you get when you pay 1700 for a 93-5-speed
well thanks guys

The valve cover gasket is installed around the inner edge of the valve cover.
The valve cover needs to be removed, the oil cleaned out and the gasket replaced.
Your's is a I-6 and not a V-6 on the 1993 SC?

Cool man I will pick those up and start on it asap. I just got the car and man this is a first for me. Well the only good thing about it is that its a learning experience and im willing to learn after getting that tuneup quote for 500 bucks. I laughed in there face and walked off. But still whats a good way to clean off all of the guckkkkkk and stuff once im in there?

no, you don't need to drain engine coolant at all. Please get a Toyota Service Manual. There are many online versions on the web. The Valve Covers are just that..COVERS. they're like caps with a gasket to help seal the covers closed so no foreign particles contact the camshafts, journals, or valves. All your doing is changing the rubber gasket that sits between the Valve cover and the cylinder head. Once you see the diagrams in the service manual, you'll see how easy it is to do .

cool what are some of these sites I probably dont need to see the manual but it couldnt hurt one bit to look at one. Oh ans im guessing if I go to a toyota dealership I should just ask for the na supra manual since we share the same engine.
