Default K&N air filter

OK.. after doing searches on K&N which returns nothing and filter which has no posts about K&N air filters... I would like to know who uses them and thinks they actually help .. or should i save my 50 bucks and get injen ram air intake..?? I have a hydrolock paranoia ..so if someone actually took dyno of before and after the k&N air filter that would be cool.. or opinions ar much appreciated cause i am a noob and 98% of you know more about this stuff than i do..

I have the K&N drop in filter. I do notice smoother shifts between gears. I'm not sure how much performance gains you're really getting. But you'll definately notice a difference.
