see you kept the 400 radiator ,in guessing the battery is in the trunk now since your bottle took its place .i went with the soarer radiator just waiting for the bottle for it .good job on the manifold .we no more have sc400 they now sc250tt tight work though .this is what mines is looking like so far .

The manifold is just a custom adapter that bolts up to the stock cast manifolds.

Good stuff. I am also interested in how bad the wiring was. I am guessing if you had the layout it wouldnt be so bad, but I would like to hear your opionon. Great swap and inspiring for me to put one in mine as I dont want to sell mine (for a sc300) b/c I love it to much.

manifold was made in one day
it is of coutse adaptor
tranny is soarer
wiring was quite easy
just be sure all thick black/orange wires in ecu loom have good 12 v
engine is drop in in sc400
radiator is sc400 stock
I have battery in trunk
and in place battery is stock bottle for radiator from sc400
radiator fan is stock soarer one

I am sorry to ask more question but I am real curious on this swap and want to do it reallllllyyyy bad. So my questions are:

1) The wiring , are the body harness plugs different (so they wont plug into the soarer ecu b/c they cant fit) or is it just the wires are different?

a) If the plugs are different did you just get some sc300 body plugs and basically splice everything from the sc400 body harness into the sc300 plug ?

b) If the wiring was different could you tell me what wires are different ? or are there many?

2) I saw that you said the 1JZ was a direct drop in with the sc400 subframe so the stock 1JZ motor mounts just bolted up correct ?

Sorry for the questions again I am just really interested.
P.S. Thanks in advance if you can answer these questions and for making this thread , you have brought joy to me lol.

Would you consider reproducing that manifold for people looking to upgrade to a Single in a more cost effective way?

Just curious.

Also would like to know how the wiring goes? Why do people say that its harder to swap a 1J in a SC400? Is it the body harness plugs?

Josh
