i say nay on the bug catcher, keep em guessing instead of laughing. Then again, they could go laughing until you roar past them...either way you win

i like bug catchers on the old school cars better, but one on a MKIII or MKIV would be awesome!

Stage I = Stock motor with 7lbs boost

Stage II = Stock motor with 11lbs boost/standalone and dyno tune

Stage III =

I know my setup has its limitation and it isn't an all-out going, so I'd love to see a SC400 with a true V8 that really screams. My cut-off point is at least 600 rwhp. I haven't seen anyone passing it yet.

I kind of like the bug catcher. I also think if anyone could make it tasteful on an SC, it would be Scott.

your doing a built motor with a whipple charger aren't you.

I don't think you'd go turbo. I don't think you'd blaspheme and do an LS1 either.

SO i think 1 maybe 2UZ with a large displacement whipple charger. Cause you obviously have to make more than 11lbs of boost and for some reason i dont see you going centrifugal.

I think Scott will keep his beloved Getrag. That's why it's not mentioned to be free....LOL.

You're correct Steve; at least up to now, but ric is definitely going to pass those numbers soon...

Looking forward to seeing it eric...

BTW, you know I will blow 600 RWHP out of the water as well...In spite of my "SHOP" challenges...

Back on track, Scott your car will be a brutish beast!! A torque monster!! If you are able to hook up, and not experience too much wheel hop and snap those rear axles, then I do believe that you will be a tough race for both eric and me...Can't wait to see it completed!!!

You're close, but I'd love to see somthing closer. The SC400 is a heavy car so I think 600 rwhp will put it in higher hp rank than the average super cars. It's a breakthrough.
