I am still waiting for my parts to come back from the polisher. In the mean time I am buying other vital components to do the install. What I really need is a local dyno.

Got the car on a Dyno today to establish a baseline power output.

It did 230whp and 263 ft-lbs torque!

I was fairly pleased with this because this is with no tuning at all! It ran quite rich, imagine if I took the time and cash to tune it. Since I am getting ready to supercharge it I am not going to spend the time and cash to tune it now. How does this figure compare to others with a normally aspirated SC400?

I will post the Dyno graph as soon as I get it scanned in.

Nice Dyno ! My 97 did 246, forgot the torque number. Did you not use the Perfect Power ?

It is installed but no tuning was done today. The guy with the dyno said this is real power that calculates for everything. He told me that if I was looking for a trophy number his dyno is not where to get it, but if you want real nubers this is it, Don't really know what all that is supposed to mean but according to him all dyno's are not the same?

Scott: Those are excellent NA numbers for the SC400...Those S&S headers have got to help quite a bit...As well as your other mods..Great baseline...

I have a short teaser video of the dyno run but I don't know how to post it. Not a lot to see but it would let you guys hear how sweet my cars exhaust sounds. If someone knows how to post it I will email it to you. ????????

you ran it on a mustang dyno? i was under the impression they tend to dyno lower. but nice number regardless, thats some nice torque, imagine if it was tuned.

Yep a mustang dyno. That's what he told me before we ran it. he said if I wanted a trophy dyno this wasn't it but if I wanted reality this is it. he said it compensates for weather, and other resistance found in real road conditions. I don't have a clue what the result would be if I did it on another dyno?
