Default 2jzgte / 1jzgte help.......

I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of whats invloved FROM A WIRING aspect in doing either swap. I don't want to give up my Auto tranny if possible. Im contemplating doing the swap , just not sure how its going to swing time wise. I can do the swap with no problems and have all the parts to upgrade either one. Will either one bolt up to the existing tranny and such other than wiring ? If there is a thread on this then please direct me to it....

thanks a bunch!

JP

If your stock tranny is an A340E it should bolt on fine. I'm pretty sure that the SC300 has an A340E fitted from factory, as do the Soarer variants (both twin and VVTi single turbos).

wiring in the 1jz is sooo simple. u just have to extend 40 something wires. u dont even touch the ECU wires. its pretty much plug and play if u dont run into any problems.

The swap is very easy, especially if you only extend the body plugs and not the complete harness. This was my first swap ever, so easy. Use the soarer tranny, I thinks it's smoother shifting tranny, and will handle a bit more power. Everything you need to know is on this website, just search.
