I got my 1jz soarer clip from www.Gspeedcorp.com, if you purchase more towards the end of the month sometimes they will discount the clip.. Ask for Terrance, oh and they are in Cali

Help a JZ newbie out, why would anyone want to buy a whole clip instead of just buying an engine?

How many posts do you have again?

From what I understand, you buy the whole clip so that you can make sure to get everything you need instead of outsourcing parts.

the clip would be benificial because if i just bought the motor and transmission it would come with some vital parts but not all. I would still have to buy motor mounts a radiator, uncut wiring harness and other misc. parts. With the clip it has everything needed to make my swap successful without having to buy other parts.

Not all motor and transmission combos come with cut wiring. Check out the jhot ones. As far as motor mounts go... they are probably over 10 years old. Replaceing them is a good idea anyways. So the only thing you'd really benefit from tht you mentioned is the radiator.

Yes, the radiator, and hundreds of small clips, bolts, screws, nuts, washers, wires, etc. Definitely better to buy a clip.

i have two vouches for jarco here, they show you a video clip of the car running before they cut it in half and send you half the car, better idea if your on the east coast cuz of shipping though. both of the halves(1jz, and sr20blktop) ran great and were complete. Ive heard stories that if the radiator is bent or anything they will send you a new one free.

I bought mine from Gspeed. The big things from a clip are a radiator and intercooler. But im most likely not using either from the clip.

They are in Canada. The prices look right though. It is on the cheaper side but not to the point where it looks like a scam. Remember the price on that site for the 2jz motor is just the motor and auto trans. No ecu, harness, or all the other little things you need to complete the swap.
