Default Motor Build...

ok here is the deal, as of today i desided to do NA-T, AEM, Boostlogic ST.2 Kit, built auto, Dave H intake manifold. i am currantly looking for a spare 2JZ block and Head so i can build it on my free time, because i use my SC as a daily driver, cant have it sitting for a long time. so my question is i was thinking of building the head with all Farrea components, and building the block with JE .020 pistons, eagle rods, refinish the crank, new bearings, seals, and so on. i graduated from UTI not to long ago, build a couple of 350 chevy motors in school and ran on dyno with success, i just wanted to know how difficult is it to build a 2JZ, i plan on having the block cleaned, painted hones and bored to fit the pistons, so i wanted to know where i can get all the specs i will need to build the motor and head, like all the clearances, and so on. another thing has anyone onh ere done that? this will be a long journey, i am talking 2-3 years, b/c money does not grow on treas where i am from, i got to ear every bit of it myself.

I think you can even get the books at a discount...being a Cert. Mechanic and all.

2jz....check TAP recyclers. Also I saw a pretty roached SC3 at Victory
in Bensenville. That might still have the motor

If your looking for a 2JZGE block etc. I have one sitting in my garage, I spun a rod bearing so currently its out of the car and my 1JZGTE engine is going in.

But from what I see the block and head seem to be perfectly fine, but I still didnt open it up to check inside, so if your interested PM me, maybee we can work out something to your advantage, plus its in detroit so if your in Illinois its not that bad of a drive.

Willing to offer up my 2jzge engine ... it's got 127k and ran great. I am pulling it for my swap ... let me know. I was planning on dumping the motor off at the junkyard when I was done but that seems a waste ...

I recently built my 2jz block back to stock spec and nothing special with 2jz. If you are going to bore it out, then you should send the crankshaft to machine shop for standard bearings.

I have a spare 2jz-ge brand new block and crankshaft with GTE internals and headgasket if you want. pm me.
