Months after the test fitting, I finally received my highly anticipated prototype exhaust from Tanabe

I am very pleased with the exhaust and, like after every modification, it rekindled my love for the car. Heres a quick review...

Design: Its an axleback design

Tone: The exhaust tone fits the car perfectly as it is not too quiet nor too loud. I was somehow expecting it to sound like a G35 since our stock exhaust does sound kind of like a muted G35 exhaust. Instead it sounds like a Supra TT without the lumpiness sound from the turbos.

Immediately after cranking the engine over, you can totally notice the difference. It emits a low hum while cruising at lower speeds and it growls whenever you punch it.At high speed cruisings on the freeway, you can hardly notice it.

As far as loudness goes, it did managed to set off a two car alarms in my apartment complex late at night while lightly revving it while rolling around.
However, it is not really that loud and obnoxious at all.

Performance: After dyno testing, it is said that exhaust added 3-4 horsepower.

You know what Im not even sure. The r&d guys that worked on it were flown in from japan and they did not speak any english. They said smile when you talk to them so there was a communication barrier lol

As far as pricing goes, Im guessing 600+/- since the MSRP for other axle back ones by Tanabe is priced @ that price.

Soundclips... Any tech savvy members in Socal willing to help out on this one?

That looks pretty good. 3-4 hp gains isnt much though...

cant really expect much from an axle back. Im actually surprised it made that much.
