If thats the case, why are all these people with 1jz swaps losing power steering and air conditioning? Just curious...

Some people just don't connect the AC back up. Power Steering I'm not sure they probably don't have the right resevoir.

The funny thing is, I beat 2j's here in japan that have the same turbo or larger, due to the fact that I rev to 8500-9000rpm. I could take it to 10k, but my turbo isnt efficent that high. Meanwhile, these supra's and such that I am beating are shifting at 6500-7k.

Were you able to smog your 1jz in Cali???

Who's losing power steering and A/C? That is one of the easier things about the swap!

thats the typical stereotype for when people go turbo... swapping in a 1jz-gte in an sc300 is not one of those cases. everything works as if it was stock. a/c, p/s, cruise control

The 1jz harness plugs into the us body harness & controll module. If so the 1jz is worth it. What a pain the 2jz is with wirering.
I got a trany from another 2jz turbo lexus. I think it is different. Becouse I have another sc 300 5 speed and it has different gear ratios. It really doesn't make much sense. My jdm 2jzgte with a rps manifold greaddy three row and a t-61 turbo. Has a 376 rear possi from a supra turbo automatic. Now my sc300 5speed with a standard 2jzge, with a 427 rear gear. The n/a lexus can't take standard turns around corners in 3rd gear, it must be in 2nd. But the turbo car (not boosting) around 1500rpm it grunt around corners with no problem. The turbo car has so much more torque, and naturaly much moore power up top.

That turbo lexus is so much fun to drive, it boost so early 18psi at 3200 to 3500 rpms. My friend and I took them out and raced them against each other and we switched back & forth using the g-teck computer. That lexus puts down 440rwhp at 18psi.I have a 916rwhp supra and the lexus will beat it up to 100mph. then the supra blows buy it like it's standing still, and belive me the lexus is still pulling like crazy. The lexus has great traction, where the supra has to much power. I run the supra at low boost 21psi in 1st & 2nd gear then hit the greddy steering wheel remote in third gear for 32psi of boost and its all over, even for most street bikes.

I will give this as an example:
Cruise control is not hooked up. Power steering and A/C are not operational due to the harness. Fix the harness and you're golden.
I have seen a couple others like this too...thats the only reason why Im asking.
