First, please use the engine forum.

Secondly, "CRAP" is not an appropriate thread title for finding the help you need.

I've moved and retitled the thread in hopes someone can help you. Sounds like you are running very rich with lot's of fuel burning in the exhaust.

ur cats are clogged. Get some new cats and it'll let the air flow better and give you more performance.

BTW, is it just me or does the side of your car look like an old late 60s mustang?

Depends what your looking for. If you want performance I would suggest going with Magnaflow highflow cats. Their about 100 bucks for one, but they will definately keep restriction down and make sure you pass the sniffer.

Before you run out and buy new cats please inspect your ignition system first. I had a very similar problem about a month ago. My car felt like it was running on half the cylinders and when I got home I looked underneath and the cats were glowing red hot. I too suspected the cats were clogged. But my problem ended up being the drivers side coil wire. It got pinched inbetween the plastic cover and all of the movement and vibrations had worn through the insulation on the wire thus exposing it to the elements. With this wire failing half of the cylinders were not firing. Which then sent raw fuel into the cats where it was burned up causing the cats to glow red. That problem also killed the O² sensor on the drivers side.

Also the magnaflow cats are not a direct replacement the same goes for the "universal" cats. You will need to have some exhaust work done in order to have them installed.

This site has good prices on magnaflow cats and they also have direct fit replacement cats at good prices:

Good luck

My bro's SC400 had the exact same problem. He replaced both the ignition coils and his car ran fine after that.

Just buy the ignition coils from a auto parts store(my bro got his at Napa) and replace them. If it doesn't fix the problem then return them for a refund but most likely I suspect it's the ignition coils.
