What exactly is the MAP ecu? Ive never heard of it. Is it a straight plug in standalone or wire up?

Its a more complicated piggyback that needs to be spliced with the ECU. Only a few people (including myself) have successfully used and tuned it.

How much control is this piggyback able to do? Does it only have fuel control or can it do spark control, does it need a crank trigger? Anywhere I can read a lil more info, on it.

Sorry for the thread hijack, OP has an awesome car.
But is there any other options for engine management other than custom for a 1.5jz swap? Can you not run ems for this kind of setup.
Thanks

Thanks again for the compliments guys.

The T67 is great, especially with the 3.0. The car is a little more responsive than stock off boost. It starts to spool around 2800 depending on what gear, load on the car, etc. and it's usually making 15psi around 3400-3600.

I'm really happy with the MAP ECU. For what I wanted to do it was either that, the Apexi PowerFC or trying to make an AEM EMS work. The latter two were overkill for my plans and the MAP ECU is very affordable and LOTS of people have had great success with it on Supra Forums so I gave it a try. Its got a 16x16 fuel table and no ignition adjustment. It took about half an hour to get it to idle and rev up then about an hour of street tuning to get it completely drivable and get the full boost WOT settings right. It idles my 750cc injectors fine, runs smooth, and starts up everytime just like stock. Check out http://www.mapecu.com/ or search on Supraforums in the Powerhouse Racing forum for lots more info.

Sorry no dyno numbers yet, I've been busy with Holiday stuff. Oh and I plan to get a turbo blanket to cover up that hotside.

Thanks for the compliments and interest. I'll update everyone when I dyno it and or turn the boost up!

Engine looks awesome and nice to know there is a quality performance shop in the area. I would love check your car out in person if I see you in Knoxvegas anytime soon.

so you just installed a 2.5tt head on your stock block? of course you upgraded the pistons and rods but you are saying you could have just bought the head, a larger hg, and went from there?
