cams suggestions?

for 1jz-gte, 2jz-gte I would review what the Supra people have used and for what goal. I would imagine that with 2.5 liters for your 1jz you would want to keep as much off boost torque as possible. This means stock cams. Changing will be expensive. It is possible for similar money and better gains a swap to either a 2jz-gte may be worth considering. Gaining a half liter gives a solid 20% more displacement and that generally gives 20% more off boost torque. More top end also. Possibly just swap your 1jz head on to a 2jz-ge block.

the whole point of the 1j IS the high revvs, not the off boost torque. If you wanted torque down low, buy a 305 or LS1.
For the 1j cams, i know Tomei and HKS make some good cams for our 1js. It depends on what other mods u have to support it, but the 264 are a good upgrade forthe daily driver. more mid end top end power.
