Default headers

i've been doing some search on headers and they are pretty rare.

i know has probably been posted before but i was wondering which type of headers fit the SC400 and how many companies out there actually made them.

i heard TEX, JBA (tundra- does it even fit the sc400?), a few others. any recommendation as far as fitment and performance? any links? i can't seem to find them online when i do searches.

which has the longest runners? be benefitial for turbo'd cars (long runners)?

thanks

The only long tube style headers currently built for a 1uz... Here.

With a full custom 2.25" exhaust, x-pipe, and Tex headers-- a first gen 1uz soarer went from 175 whp to 215 whp..

gained torque all the way across, and most significantly, a 40 hp increase at redline---

try those but they're a lot more expensive than S &S

Would you send $1000 to a company who's number is disconnected, claims to market products for 5 different brands, and yet only has 1 set of headers in their whole product line-- and never answers emails--

I don't think tthose guys exist anymore-- go with the Tex's--

Long tube is the way to go anyway-- look up some drag forums and see how many 10 second drag cars N/A run shorties or mid-length headers.... [I'll help you, none]

Take a peek under every 12 second camaro and firebird and you'll see the collector 3 feet behind the motor, 4 inches off the ground-- long tubes..

The Aussie's built these headers from direct racing experience-- Those guys put 1uz's in everything they can find without a motor in it and somehow put 330hp to the wheels n/a, while we're still trying to crack 250 n/a....

Go with Tex headers....That is coming from a guy whom bought and installed the S&S Headers... If EKtuning.com is finished that's a shame...Those headers were true bolt ons, unlike the S&S headers for the SC's....

thanks a lot guys most appreciated! i know i should learn to use the search function a bit better. but thank you for the ones that posted useful information!

thanks, i'll probably go with the TEX headers per your guys' inputs. i think long tubes would sound better too? for turbocharged application i wonder if it will still be benefitial. i think long tubes in exhaust manifolds will give you more top end power vs. short= low end resonse.

do the australian guys have any sort of forum they post on for 1uz specifics? it'd be great if they did, share a lot of useful information to us who aren't too familiar with extensive performance for the 1uz-fe!
