I'm not feeling it too much. I put my 60mm electronic greddy boost gauge in the cup holder, the greddy profec b EBC in the other (useleess) cup holder, and the AEM wideband above and to the right of my knee.
IMO, visible gauges shouldnt really belong on a Lexus. A supra, yea- but a lexus, no. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah, cause really...who wants to see your gauges anyway? :-P
Guess my question would be...why would you mount a wideband out of plain site? Why install it at all? I can see for dyno tuning, but in that case you could just use their probe wideband..just wondering what the rationale was.

Why install a wideband at all? So I could use it for tuning . lol, why else? I don't seem to understand the question..
And I don't tune my car alone. I set the boost, then go WOT in 3rd gear, and a friend in the passenger seat makes the necessary adjustments on my laptop by looking at the wideband's A/R ratio. No need to constantly look at orange, red, green lights flickering all over the place- that's why I have it where it is.

No offense, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of gauges?? I understand that we own luxury cars and everything should be nice and clean, but "hiding" the gauges, doesn't that defeat the purpose of gauges??

That's the reason why I have an electronic cutout with a stock catback. That's why I'm kinda hiding my gauges instead of giving cops a sign that I have a 550+hp lexus. That's why I haven't cut out the bars on my front bumper to show the FMIC some more. If cops didn't bother me so much, then yea- I'd get a huge exhaust. I'd show my FMIC.
If my boost gauge has a peak/hold function, and my wideband is being monitored while I'm tuning- then is that really hiding the gauges?
Don't get me wrong- I think your car looks great.
For the record- the comparison u made with $2,000 wheels and covering them with hub caps was pretty lame.
To each, his own. If you like it, then go for it.

looks much better
If you lived in a city where cops literally look for ANYTHING that's a sign for a modified car- you'd understand. A triple gauge pillar with a bunch of lights. A huge visible FMIC. A massive single/dual exhaust system.. etc. are all triggers for the pigs to say "hey, this kid is modified- let's give him a $500 emmisions ticket. Or send him to the state referee. (or something along those lines)"

VISIBLE gauges don't belong in MY SC- simply because the cops in MY CITY are ________ (you fill in the blank).
kapeesh?
If a Supra owner wants his gauges visible to the public- that's great. His car may possibly be more attractive to some pigs out there. All I'm saying is that IMO- it flows a bit better on a Toyota Supra when compared to a Lexus SC300. As mentioned before, it's just my opinion. If you disagree- then so be it.
As 1jz300 said- I like the hidden look. So shoot me
